December 14th, 2004 : Across the water: Canary Wharf from Greenwich

Shot from the grounds of Greenwich University on a day that started off gloriously sunny and finished bleak, dark, moody.
My plan was to take a wide-angle night shot of the Isle of Dogs from the Greenwich observatory. Lugging both my 35mm film camera and the slightly smaller digital camera with the tripod under the Thames via the Greenwich foot tunnel I was dissapointed to only manage a couple polarised day shots with the 35mm. The sun vanished behind a freezing mist that dropped like a curtain.
No night shots for me then; as can be seen from this trio, the Isle of Dogs just vanished into the fog.
